An important part of the education we provide to our students is teaching them to be of service to others. As a member of the St. Charles community, volunteering embodies that giving spirit and models for our students what we hope they will do throughout their life as servants of Christ.

We ask that preschool families dedicate 10 hours of volunteer service to the school each year, and K-8 families volunteer for 25 hours. We have a variety of opportunities throughout the year, including building maintenance, chaperoning field trips, clerical work, fundraising (committees and day-of volunteers), etc. An email will come out when there are new opportunities available through Sign-Up Genius. Please check back often!

In order to volunteer at St. Charles, you must complete the Virtus training annually and sign the hard copies in Jami Glastre's office. If you need additional information regarding this training, feel free to contact Jami at (509)327-9573 or

We have several volunteer opportunities available.  Below are the links to our current sign-ups:

Entry Monitor - Sign Up GeniusTake temperatures in the morning at either the front or back door of school 8 - 8:30 am.

Recess Supervisor - Sign Up Genius:  Monday – Friday from 9:45 - 10:30. This allows three of our teachers to have a morning break. There is a walkie-talkie and a small first aid bag in the office.

Events & Maintenance: Sign Up Genius:  The list of events will be changing as the covid19 restrictions allow. Most maintenance will happen on the weekends or after school hours.

Classroom Parent: Sign Up Genius: Each teacher gets two classroom parents. This is to help make sure our teachers get lunch and other breaks. You may also be asked to make copies or prepare work as needed.
